Once you have posted your project planning form on your specific page, go read the planning forms of three other members of your cohort.  On this blog, comment on them individually.  Is there an idea you had that they might not have thought about?  Do you have any questions?

Comment for Veronica:
I think your goal of increasing recycling in Tallwood by 15% was really good and something that would be sustainable if pursued after your graduation. Something I might add is an idea I got from an article I read saying how recycling can be a double-edged sword if done incorrectly. Maybe this (correct vs. incorrect methods of recycling) might be something you want to include?

Comment for Alea:
Your project/internship seems really well thought out. I remember last year my mom was a judge for someone who had a similar idea (comparing different water samples), only when presenting, they didn't actually have (real) water samples with them. Maybe when you present you could compare different local water samples?

Comment for Paul:
your idea is really great & it's something that people should pay more attention too in their daily routine. A survey is a good idea of how to get information from real people you know, but what other research do you plan on doing for it? not only are neighborhood statistics good, but maybe you could compare them to worldwide or country wide stats as well.

Comment for Rachael:
this is a very unique idea! I really think people will enjoy & learn more about your topic through your action choice. I think this project become an annual event, but how do you plan to make it so? & is this a topic that changes with the times or that stays the same throughout, that could be a factor in how well it carries on to the next graduating classes. Overall, this sounds like a fantastic project!

KELVINNNNNN

I'm confused on what your project is. Are the bikes supposed to be for powering up the Promethian boards...? I'm sure if I was in your class I'd know what you meant...just make it a little more clear on the form thingamajig!! Yeap!

The Big Freisz

Your project seems cool. The only advice I have is your research question a little more complex...i guess. Mine isn't that hard itself, but for the purpose of these comments we have to do... yeahhh.. Good stuff!

All of the SUTTON
im creative haha
Your form is just awesome. It looks like you already did this project in your head and put it on paper. One minor thing I would add to your "Costs" section is possibly the cost of lunch. I don't know how long you plan to stay atthe place but I thought it would be nifty to throw in there.

Rachael:

Your project plan is amazing and I am really looking forward to learning more about your project. In addition to the art show you should also consider displaying a movie to help stimulate the audience's senses of empathy.

I advice you to talk Sally about your internship. She's involved with numerous environmental organizations and i'm sure she could provide you with a list of people that could possibly help you.

You're project plan is very detailed and extensive. You could create a graph to compare the effects of water pollution between the U.S.and India.

Kelvin,
You should try and reach out to the comunity more because its not just students and facilty that need to "get fit" and it could benefit businesses.

To Kelvin:
I think you have a good overall idea, but as far as your activity I think that you should give maybe a little bit more time and do the actual cycle in around April being that it will be warmer.
Also, I'm confused as to how it would benefit the Board of Education.

I agree with Prince that your research question should be a little more complex.
Is there a cerain group of people that you're targeting for your survey?

I think you have a great idea!
It's something that can spread beyond the school and involve the entire community eventually.

To Kelvin:
I like your idea of making eco-friendly energy for the school, but would it be possible to make enough energy through stationary bikes. I also think that you might have to upgrade your question to make it less of a yes/no question.

Your event and idea are really good. I'd suggest also making a Facebook page since Facebook is becoming a big thing also. Would you be providing food or beverages to the guests at the event?

You have a really good idea for educating the community. Are you planning on doing the event in a home or in a event building and who would you get to attend?

Austin,

this project sounds really well thought out and challenging! one thing to consider, to build an evironmentally friendly dam, who else would you need to be involved with your project? like the city, the state? idk, I'm not an expert on that stuff. but great work so far, can't wait to see the finish product!

Vee,
You should expand your project into the community and make them more aware of the benefits of recycling, but if Tallwood can accomplish this other schools may follow. In all i think thhis is a good idea.

Paul,
This sounds like a great idea and it has the potential to make a difference just make sure you give people alternatives to what they are doing now and tips about what they could do to conserve water.
